Die casting is divided into cold chamber and hot chamber processes according to how molten metal is fed, each suiting different metals and production rhythms. The articles below explain the principles, components and full cycle of each.
Hot chamber die casting can be used with zinc, magnesium, and other low melting alloys using either our proprietary multi-slide or conventional tooling.
Cold-chamber die casting is ideal for metals such as aluminum which have a high melting point. During this process, metal is liquefied in a furnace at extremely high temperatures and then ladled into a cold chamber to be injected into the die.
